The Ferry Family consists of eight members overseas and three stateside.

Rev. Charles (Dad); Cheryl (Mom); Caleb, his wife, Katrina, and son, Jonathan (0); Caitlin (17); Carissa (14); Cassandra (12); Chloe (10); Charlotte (8); and Caylee (5).

Formerly, the Ferrys lived in SE Michigan, where Charles served as pastor of a Lutheran parish. Cheryl was trained in Nebraska as a teacher and musician. In 2014, they left Michigan to serve in Asia. Their initial posting was in Bandung, then Jakarta, then Medan, all in Indonesia. After four years of living in Indonesia, the Ferrys moved to Taiwan where they lived from 2018-2025. There, Charles served as the Asia Regional Director for LCMS and Cheryl home schooled the kids (a full-time job and then some!). They lived at the LCMS regional headquarters in Chiayi, a small city located in the southern part Taiwan.

After more than seven years in Taiwan, the constant travel required of a regional director became too much. Charles accepted a position with the LCMS Eurasia region as the Associate Regional Director, which allows the family to be together much more consistently. The Ferrys departed Taiwan in July 2025 for a repositioning at the LCMS Eurasia regional headquarters in Braşov, Romania. There, Charles assists with the leadership in Eurasia and manages the Eurasia Projects Team to accomplish the LCMS mission work in the region. Cheryl continues to home school the kids and manage the house.

As of summer 2023, Caleb moved back to the United States and began his service in the US Air Force. He lives with his beautiful wife, Katrina, and their son, Jonathan, who was born late August 2026.
