The Ferry Family consists of ten members (for now)…

Rev. Charles (Dad); Cheryl (Mom); Caleb (married to Katrina); Caitlin (15); Carissa (13); Cassandra (11);
Chloe (9); Charlotte (7); and Caylee (4).

Formerly, the Ferrys lived in SE Michigan, where Charles served as pastor of a Lutheran parish. Cheryl was trained in Nebraska as a teacher and musician. In 2014, they left Michigan to serve in Asia. Their initial posting was in Bandung, then Jakarta, then Medan, all in Indonesia. After four years of living in Indonesia, the Ferrys moved to Taiwan where they lived from 2018-2025. In Taiwan, Charles served as the Asia Regional Director for LCMS, and Cheryl home schooled the kids (a full-time job and then some!). They lived at the LCMS regional headquarters in Chiayi, a small city located in the southern part Taiwan.

After more than seven years in Taiwan, the constant travel required of a regional director became too much. Charles accepted a position with the LCMS Eurasia region as the Associate Regional Director, which will allow the family to be together much more consistently. The Ferrys are departing Taiwan in July 2025 for a repositioning at the LCMS Eurasia regional headquarters in Brasov, Romania. There, Charles will assist with the leadership in Eurasia and manage the Eurasia Projects Team to accomplish the LCMS mission work in the region. Cheryl will continue to home school the kids and manage the house.

As of summer 2023, Caleb is back in the States where he lives with his beautiful wife, Katrina, and serves in the US Air Force.
